Did You Hear That Ricki Lake Lost Weight?

Quick & Simple Just Did!

That’s just a bit of sarcasm you may hear in my voice!

But really, come on already! I’ve seen Ricki Lake’s weight loss covered so many times I can’t even remember her being heavy. And Quick & Simple forgets a key component to displaying a “weight loss” story on its cover. There’s no “before” picture!

The order of the cover lines is a bit awkward. I’m not sure why the “Tired? Stressed? You Can Still Look Great!” is between the main food cover line and the recipe line. The recipe line should naturally follow the “Suppers for Every Day of Your Life,” (or something) line.

And for some reason, there’s a line that says “One Top, 5 Great Looks!” on the bottom right but the editors don’t show a picture of the top. Plus, it feels like the magazine is trying to squeeze style on it’s cover, but it doesn’t work.

On a positive note, I’m hungry looking at the Herb Crusted Pork and Roasted Potatoes.
