Cuz Walmart Said So!

This is a disturbing report from Folio to say the least!

“Meredith is discontinuing to distribute magazines like Ladies Home Journal and Better Homes & Garden at Dollar Store because it was losing distribution in Wal-Mart.  They were both on the notorious Wal-Mart list of magazines scheduled to be cut from its stores, but have since been reinstated.”

Are you f%^k^#@ kidding me?  When is this madness going to stop? How can one retailer have so much power in this country?  

And the lame quote of the day goes to the Meredith spokesperson who said, “We had always planned to phase these programs out.”   Why would they phase this program out if it was actually working to boost sales?
