CRITIQUE: Life & Style Brings Back the Triangle (A Story Involving Angelina Jolie, Jen Aniston and Brad Pitt)

OMG.  Angelina Trashes Jen.  It’s an old story, but who cares?  The reader loves, loves, loves this battle.   The reader still loves Jen and is never quite sure about Angelina.  Plus, this brings back that one percent chance that Brad still wants to get back with Jen.  (At least we can dream.)

So this cover, despite having very few NEW DETAILS, will be above Life & Style’s current average sales on the newsstand. 

How can I tell that there are few new details?   The main headline “Angelina Trashes Jen” is very similar to the second line in the dek “Angelina won’t stop belittling Jen.”  

The only apparent new detail is “The fight goes public!”   That would have been an even STRONGER MAIN HEADLINE. 

In other new news, Nicole Richie is getting married.   I don’t care and neither does the reader.  They only care if she’s getting too skinny or if she’s suddenly partying again.

And the Spears family is going broke?   What, they didn’t have any health insurance?
