LARRY HACKETT’S PEOPLE MAGAZINE FEATURING PATRICK SWAYZE WINS COVER OF THE WEEK

I predict this will be one of People’s top three sellers of the year!  Congrats to Larry Hackett and the team at People Magazine.  

(I was losing hope last week on People after I saw their Drew Berrymore cover!)

People went for the Patrick Swayze story that crosses generations and will attract a ton of newsstand buyers.

A dramatic picture of Patrick coupled with a strong line makes this cover a WINNER!

People is also offering exclusive intimate photos, which adds even more to this already strong cover.

Why did none of the other weeklies go for this type of emotionally compelling cover?

All the insets are strong as well from Jen and Owen bonding on set, to Heath’s Will, and to even the inset on Jessica Simpson visiting the troops.

Just asking?  Was the troops morale higher or lower after Jessica’s visit?
