Janice Min's Clever US Weekly Lauren Conrad Cover

Oh Janice, Janice, Janice.  You are sooo clever.

This cover starts off really strong.  A sultry photo of Lauren Conrad coupled with the line “Betrayed By Brody & Audrina: How I Was Stabbed in the Back.”

If you don’t read any further, then you believe that Audrina and Brody are doing the nasty behind Lauren’s back, yes I said nasty which is when two friends sleep together even though it will piss off their other friend.  Do you know anybody like that?

The dek KILLS this cover for me.  Of course I know that Brody has other women.   If he didn’t that would be news.

Audrina’s friendship with Heidi.  Is that a big deal?  NOT to me.

Moving to the insets and we get some more political, oops I mean prostitute, coverage.  The line is Spitzer’s Call Girl (which sounds so much more tasteful than prostitute – plus it probably fit better) followed by “Her Secret Double Life.”  This is DUMB, DUMB, DUMB.  What call girl, especially one that sleeps around for 5K per session, doesn’t have a secret double life?  (Not that I know any, I swear!  At least ones that charge that much.  Just kidding.)

And Janice, why do you continue to try to cover politics?  I’m confused?  First Hillary, then Barack and now the Governor of New York scandal?  Isn’t US Weekly a “celebrity” weekly?

And poor Halle Berry.  She has a baby and she gets this PUNY inset with an uninspired line.

Bottom line: Strong cover image and main topic tricks me at FIRST.  It will sell well, especially to fanatical Hills fans.

I think brody uses Laurn for times when he has nothing else 2 do so in a way its better 4 her not 2 be around him and hang out with another guy

i think that if lauren keeps on getting back with brody he’s just gonna do the same thing again and that because he wants to be on tv and in the lime light.

as much as i love lauren she’s kinda wrong for keeping audrina away from her old friends because you never know she misses the people that she lost in touch with in the past.
