Charla Lawton Selects Renee Zellweger for InStyle Cover
Why?
You’re thinking, Mark that’s a good question!
I thought so.
Why now? What is Renee doing that makes her a compelling cover topic? Is she dating someone new? I don’t know and I certainly don’t care.
The cover line “Renee gets real about men, fashion and fame.” Well, I hope she gets “real.” Here are some of her “real quotes.” You be the judge!
“I can have fun anywhere,” says Zellwegger. “I’m not averse to going out dancing but fun to me is a little different. I want to create something good.” YAWN
“I really appreciate the artistry in fashion now,” says Zellweger. “It’s extraordinary to wear of those red-carpet gowns. They’re beautiful. They’re art.” A PLEA FROM RENEE TO GET EVEN MORE FREE CLOTHES!
HOW DOES INSTYLE DESCRIBE RENEE’S LOVE LIFE?
“Zellweger was briefly married to Kenny Chesney (um, what happened there?) and has dated Jim Carrey and Jack White. Still, much of the time, she is contentedly solo…” (Isn’t that what every single person says?)
If this is Renee getting real, I don’t want to read about her when she’s being fake. Actually, that would probably be more entertaining.
UDPATE:
An industry source reveals to CoverAwards, “Renee is on the cover (duh!) because she is starring in Leatherheads with George Clooney. InStyle loves to kiss publicists butts. So regardless of whether she sells issues or not, the girl gets a cover to flog her movie, probably to appease publicist powers that be (like Nancy Ryder). They probably agreed to six or seven at homes if Renee go the cover. You scratch our back, we’ll scratch yours.”
