Memphis Woman Magazine's Inspirational Breast Cancer Awareness Issue
Memphis Woman Magazine tells the story of Laura Wynn, a breast cancer survivor who reacted to her diagnosis with creativity and spirit.
Despite months of chemotherapy, surgery, and radiation treatments, Wynn maintains an unusually positive attitude and contagiously happy disposition that is inspirational, according to the mag.
“Cancer is something you don’t have control of, but you can control your attitude,” Wynn has said. By playfully experimenting with wigs and do-rags, Wynn entertains co-workers each day, dressing up in different looks that have ranged from Rastafarian to circus clown.
The editor and publisher of the mag, Lisa Montgomery, explained that she featured Wynn on the cover because she is “inspiring” and is “so happy and beautiful despite her illness.”
