BUSINESS WEEK SMALL BIZ’S BAD COVER, STRONG STORY

businessweeksmallbiz.jpg

Anyone that is an entrepreneur (count me in that very LUCKY group) will get something out of this issue from Kimberly Weisul’s Business Week Small Biz.

While the cover falls flat and is poorly designed, the inside cover story makes a number of smart suggestions for small business owners.

These include constantly checking your companies expenditures, examining your travel budget, and reducing miscellaneous expenses like cell phones.

In addition, the article suggests:

- Replace your phone service with a free VOIP provider such as SKYPE

- Sell excess inventory at reduced prices

- Connect a bonus plan to company profitability

- Pay your vendor bi-weekly instead of weekly

Bottom Line: Bad Cover Hides Strong Story!
