Looks like the Katie Couric experiment as anchor of CBS News is OVER!

According to multiple reports, Couric will be leaving the anchor desk well before the end of her contract.  She was making $15 million a year!

She’s been in the chair for less than two years.  Is that really enough time for someone to bring a last place newscast to first place? 

I think Katie was set up to fail.  There was so much hype surrounding her appointment and she could never live up to those expectations.

Plus, the newscast never fit her biggest strength - her “chirpy” (and I mean that in a positive way) personality. 

She was basically doing a news reading job when she’s best at interviewing guests.

In the end, I’m not worried about Katie.  She’ll be back and has been well compensated for this experiment!
