In Shape, Ashlee offers her six tips:

1) Get Serious About Your Workouts:  “I started working out more,” says Simpson.

2) Take Time to be Yourself: “Now I see writing in my journal as precious time to be alone and work through any issues I may be dealing with,” says Simpson

3) Express and De-Stress: Yes, Ashlee stays in instead of hitting all the L.A. hotspots.  “We like to have a glass of wine, set up our canvases on my balcony, and just express ourselves with paint,” says Simpson. 

4) Master a New Skill:  Ashlee wanted to become a better cook so once a month she and her girlfriends have dinner parties and everyone makes a dish.

5) Keep Your Weight in Perspective: Today “I rarely get on the scale,” says Simpson.

6) Count On Your Family: With sister Jessica “It’s more about being proud of each other than anything else.”
