INTOUCH EXPLAINS WHY JEN ANISTON FELL FOR JOHN MAYER
I was so excited by In Touch’s cover last week.
For the first time in forever, one of the weeklies scored exclusive photos of A-listers in a new romance.
And In Touch must have had decent success with that issue because guess what? They are basically delivering the same cover this week.
THIS IS A HUGE MISTAKE.
First, the cover looks like Us Weekly’s cover from last week. (In Touch even put Jen on the left and John on the right just like Us’ cover!)
Even worse, the story is not advanced! The main line promises that I’ll find out “Why Jen Fell for John.” Um, cuz he’s hot, single and will help her career?
To top it off, In Touch uses one of the photos on the cover from last week’s issue. If I’m the reader, I’m thinking this is LAST WEEK’S ISSUE or it’s Us Weekly from last week.
In Touch would have been better served to go with the angle I suggested earlier this week which focused on John out partying in NYC over the weekend.
Moving on…
Paris tells In Touch “I want a baby.” Great, no one cares.
And Miley Cyrus “virginity vow.” Yawn!
Bottom Line: A catastrophic downfall in sales this week for In Touch!
