OK SAYS REESE IS READY TO WED; IS BONNIE FULLER ALREADY EDITING OK?

Pasetsky’s Cover Critique

Pretty picture of Reese but that’s where the good news stops for OK Magazine this week.

This cover is COMPLETELY RIDICULOUS and is out of left field.

OK claims Reese is “ready to wed.”

Translation: No confirmation, no engagement, nada!

There’s also an inset that says “Jake’s proposal plans.”

Translation: No proposal has occurred as of yet.

This main cover story DELIVERS NO NEWS!

Bottom Line: OK Magazine will tank yet again. BTW - do they ever do their research? If they did, they would realize that readers DO NOT CARE ABOUT REESE AND JAKE AS A COUPLE! You could say she’s pregnant with his quadruplets and it still wouldn’t be a huge sale. (Okay, maybe that’s a stretch but you get my point.)

BUT WAIT - THERE MAY BE BONNIE FULLER NEWS HIDDEN IN THIS COVER

As I suggested yesterday, I believe Bonnie Fuller will be taking over as EIC or Editorial Director of OK! This cover adds to my theory.

Why? It’s no secret that Bonnie Fuller loves putting Reese on the cover. Did she have a hand in this one?

And in today’s New York Times, Fuller said that “she is working on a new venture, but she declined to provide specifics except to say disclosures would be made shortly.”

Mark, first Bonnie needs to show up and actually do some work at Ok! if she wants to get that big paycheck. That was the big reason why she got fired (and she did get fired–she was rarely in and her lack of non-work did not justify the big paycheck).

I’m shocked at how stupid OK! is putting Reese and Jake on the cover. They don’t sell. Nobody cares about those two bores. Heck, if I were the editor of OK! I would have put Aniston and Mayer’s latest lovefest on the cover. I don’t particularly care for Aniston but she SELLS.
