UGLY BETTY'S EDITOR-IN-CHIEF DANIEL MEADE FIRED BY HIS OWN SISTER (WHO USED TO BE HIS BROTHER)!

What a cliffhanger for Ugly Betty Fans!

Quick recap. Henry asked Betty to marry him. Gio asked Betty to go to Rome. Daniel found out he had a French son. And Wilhelmina convinced Alexis that she should be the Editor-in-Chief of Mode.

Can you believe it?

Were you surprised that Alexis back-stabbed her own brother and replaced him as EIC with Wilhelmina.

Quite frankly, I’m not. I kind of saw it coming. All the clues were there. Once Alexis let her become creative director of Mode – even after she promised Daniel that she would consult him on all these types of decisions – it was pretty much over for Daniel.

Alexis tried to explain that it was business and she had to make tough decisions. She came across as heartless and a total bitch. (That Rebecca Romin is a pretty damn good actress I have to say.)

But anyhow, could you imagine being fired by your own sister? Where’s family loyalty??? She even gave him her word with that whole pinkie thing and looked him in the eyes. (BTW – unless you have something in writing in business – you have nothing. Daniel should have known that! Oh well! You live and you learn!)

I have to give Daniel credit – he survived quite a while editing Mode. After all, he’s a guy editing a women’s fashion magazine. I can only imagine the amount of times the editors at Mode wondered “How could a man get this woman stuff? It’s sooooo complicated. On all accounts — it looks like he did a pretty good job.

But when you have back stabbers in your midst — like a Wilhelmina, who would probably sleep with anybody IN THE OFFICE.  (YES, IN THE OFFICE (YKWYA) — for God’s sake she slept with Daniel’s dad.)

At the end of the show, we see Daniel packing up his office and leaving with his French son (who doesn’t speak a lick of English). He looks sad but you know what?

I was pretty f*#ki&g happy for him. This is the best thing that could ever happen to him – to get away from those NASTIES.

He has a son. He’ll finally get a real life. Perhaps he’ll even get married.

My prediction: Alexis will leave the company and Daniel will run the company in her place. Far-fetched but there have been reports that Rebecca Romin was not going to be on the show that much – so it kinda makes sense.

Can’t wait for next season.
