RUPERT MURDOCH: WHERE’S FOX?

Fox News Channel should be completely embarrassed.

Today, ABC, NBC and CBS put aside corporate rivalries to fight the battle against cancer.

Sure, Fox doesn’t have a national news show but it could have participated in this campaign.

According to a spokesperson for Stand Up 2 Cancer, Fox was “asked but declined to participate.”

I tried to call Fox News Channel but the PR department did not pick up its phone??? Go figure.

Are you as disgusted by this as I am???

Who cares? It’s like maligning some random person on the street for not having a LiveStrong bracelet, or a pink ribbon on their car. They’re not out there killing people.

Are you equally as mad at Ted Turner? Was CNN there?

Fuck this scum bag to death ..

I think maybe you are overreacting. None of the news networks actually care about anything other than PR. Also, did you think that maybe you are using too many question marks???

You sure are a Professional Blogger.

Hi Nameless and others,
Thank you for your comments.

I agree that CNN should have been involved in this announcement but I pointed out Fox because they have local affiliates across the country - like NBC, ABC and CBS.

Regarding “nameless’” comment, I agree with you to some extent. Of course, this is about PR but it is a good thing that the networks are doing. And they should be applauded.

I will also try to cut down on the number of question marks.

Best,
Mark

Mark, you’re missing the point in that nameless is trying to tell you that the participating networks (doing this good thing) are doing it explicitly for the PR. As if the goodness of the thing were simply a delivery vector for adulations (like you are giving out) and not at all something done to the ends of the supported cause.

Further, I don’t see how the major networks participating is in any way putting “aside corporate rivalries”. Just as likely the networks are attempting to keep up with one another for the reputation of being a force for good.

It’s all pretty much bullshit, wake up and smell it. Fox is in this case just acting as they always do, being the most *obviously* evil corporate empire.

lol overreaction maybe?

try chilling out and doing something about it yourself instead of getting mad at people who don’t.
