Brian Williams, the anchor of the NBC News, who is reporting from Afghanistan this week, broke down as he tried to describe what the loss meant to his network family, according to the New York Times.
“The network is struggling through shock and grief to bring the story of Mr. Russert’s life and journalistic achievements to its viewers immediately,” said Williams.
Mr. Williams said that Mr. Russert, trained as a lawyer, was “always about fairness.”
One Response to “BRIAN WILLIAMS DESCRIBES TRAGIC LOSS OF TIM RUSSERT”

My heart goes out to the NBC family as well as Mr. Russert’s family. Mr. Russert was more to me than just a Journalist doing a job, in fact, Mr. Russert was the link between our Government and the People. If we needed to know more about the people who serve for us in Government, we could count on Mr. Russert to get answers for us and I feel he knew he was truely giving us more than just political news, he was providing a true service. He was truely an Ambasader for all Americans and an Advocate for his fellow Americans to get answers from those who serve us.
Thank you Mr. Russert, you will be missed and in our hearts for ever. We are a grateful nation to you and for you. We are a better people because of you. If the White House had an appointment for you it would have to be, “The Peoples Advocate”.
