TV GUIDE MAGAZINE’S ATROCIOUS COVER FEATURING I THINK IT’S DENISE RICHARDS
TV Guide gave me a good laugh last night when I saw it on Perez Hilton.
I wonder why CoverAwards wasn’t sent an copy ahead of time? Hmmm.
BTW - I laughed even harder when I saw it up-close.
What a disaster.
Here, in short, is why this cover WILL BE A BIG STINKER ON THE NEWSSTAND:
- The reader doesn’t like Denise Richards (her show on E! is a joke and is painful to watch)
- You can’t even tell that it’s Denise Richards
- This cover looks like a cartoon dreamed up by a child and will not appeal to TV Guide’s core, yet dwindling, newsstand audience
On another note, why didn’t TV Guide feature Tim Russert on its cover as the main story like People.
It has been the biggest story on television and would’ve made much more sense for a magazine called TV Guide to feature that story.
Bottom Line: TV Guide misses the boat and its boat is SINKING FAST.
