DR. DREW PINSKY WONDERS IF ANGELINA JOLIE IS ON DRUGS?

Remember Dr. Drew Pinsky - the doctor that questioned Tom Cruise’s mental state in Playboy?

Well, in that same issue and reprinted in this week’s In Touch Weekly, Pinsky said, “I’m concerned with what’s really going on with Angelina Jolie.

I’ve never seen someone remit heroin completely. You’re either still on heroin, OxyContin or something else. Unless you’re dead. Is she still using something,? Is she in recovery? If she’s in recovery, I don’t see any evidence of it, because people in recovery invest themselves in simple, selfless acts of service, not global self-serving acts.”

I know alot of people who do recover by helping others in other areas of service, and most of them are not “simple, selfless acts of service”. I myself got off the needle by sheer determination. It can be done, especially by such a strong woman as Angelina Jolie. Who is to say she did not do her recovery in private and her service in public. She cares about her causes because of her heart. Most addicts have too much heart and that is why alot of them use. So get off your high horse and maybe you can see to do some service yourself.

Is this “dr” just trying to get attention any way he can? He is seriously disgusting.

This doctor sounds like an ass who wants publicity. There are plenty of people who have stopped heroin, this moron just wants to get more publicity, like i said. Sad.

Going to war torn countries to help out thousands of refugees is soooo self serving. is he kidding me wit this? He doesn’t even know Angelina.

I don’t think he should talk about someone he hasn’t apparently actually met, and it also bugs me how he always talks as though there can be no exceptions to what he has seen. He indeed may have never seen anyone recover without what he mentions…but the type of addicts who can do it on their own are probably not the same type of addicts who would seek his help or other professional help in the first place. He seems not to realize that the sample from which he pulls his opinions are often skewed by the very fact that they were addicts who sought professional help. I.e. he doesn’t seem to understand that his big picture is actually more of a medium shot; the world of addicts is larger than folks who go to hospitals and rehabs. NEVERTHELESS, going to war torn countries to help out thousands of refugees when you know that cameras are on you at the same time can indeed be seen as self-serving. There are other celebrities who do such things without anyone knowing. The very fact that you know she did that can be a sign that it was indeed self serving, at least to a degree.

What about Ray Charles?, last time I checked he quit heroin back when OxyContin and methadon were’nt even invented. So how did he do it? And he was an awesome piano player even after his recovery. He did H because of pyscological reasons, as well as a physical addiction, and that’s even harder to accomplish. All I’m saying is that Ray Charles was well into his adulthood, and he did heroin for many years before he quit and as far as I know he quit without having to use any other opiate and he STAYED 100% clean until his death. So what does Dr. Drew have to say about that!!??
