GLOBE CORNERS SENIOR CITIZEN MARKET
You really can’t compare the Globe to the other weeklies or even the National Enquirer.
This is clearly the magazine tailor made for retirees (and some Gay men - see Golden Girls‘ inset.)
From Ted Kennedy to the Golden Girls to Judge Judy’s house, this looks like a must-read for seniors.
On a non-related note, the magazine hides its best story - What really killed Tim Russert - at the bottom of the cover.
Either they didn’t BELIEVE their own story or they would’ve gone bigger with it and provided it stronger placement on the cover. By placing it at the bottom, it’s a spot that you really don’t see on the newsstand.
Bottom Line: Globe fills a niche and that’s not a bad thing.
