NY POST COVERS ANNE HATHAWAY'S EX-(CON) BOYFRIEND

As CoverAwards reported yesterday, the longtime boyfriend of “Get Smart” star Anne Hathaway was busted by the feds yesterday for allegedly swindling investors out of millions of dollars by convincing them he had the Vatican’s backing to flip Catholic Church properties in the United States.
According to the NY Post, the following are excerpts from the complaint:
- Raffaello Follieri used money provided by the Principal Investor to hire to monsignors…and Follieri traveled with these monsignors in an effort to create the false impression that Follieri and his associates had close ties with the Vatican.
- Follieri misused the money of the Principal Investor by chartering a private plane for a round-trip flight from New Jersey to the Dominican Republic for his girlfriend at the time, father, and other friends.
- Follierri…misused the money for personal expenditures, including…and opulent apartment…overlooking Rockefeller Center and with a view of Central Park.
