Bauer's In Touch and Life & Style Sales Down

Looks like it’s been a tough first half for Bauer Publishing according to today’s New York Post.

“The company took the painful step of slashing its rate bases last year – bring In Touch to million from 1.2 million, and Life & Style to 550,000 from 700,000,” reports Keith Kelly.

This year…

“In Touch was .9 percent below its rate base [1 million] on average, missing nine of 17 times.”

“Life & Style was off .7 percent [550,000].”

Today’s news follows Bauer’s pre-July 4th announcement that it was hiring a new EIC for Life & Style.

The announcement was made late on July 3rd in the afternoon when most of the media had already left for the holiday weekend.
