THE NEW YORKER MAGAZINE BARACK OBAMA COVER: Something McCain and Obama can Agree on!

Both presidential campaigns have similar views on the New Yorker cover:

Obama campaign spokesman Bill Burton said “the New Yorker may think, as one of their staff explained to us, that their cover is a satirical lampoon of the caricature Senator Obama’s right-wing critics have tried to create, but most readers will see it as tasteless and offensive. And we agree.”

What did John McCain say?

John McCain said the cover was “totally inappropriate and frankly I understand if Senator Obama and his supporters would find it offensive.”

Do you think that this sort of public reaction will hurt Obama in the presidential race or will it rally people to his side?
