GLOBE MAGAZINE’S COVER LAYOUT DISASTER
On this cover of the Globe, I don’t know where to look first.
This is often a sign that the editors did not know what the main story should be.
But let’s digest what Globe is serving up this week.
Sorry for the play on words Barry Manilow ’cause it looks like the crooner has stopped eating and is DYING! Ok, he’s probably not dying. How do I know that? The friends fear type under that line is the clear giveaway.
Bad timing on the Barack Obama story. But, is there ever a good time for plots to kill a presidential candidate stories?
I think this story crosses the line even for the Globe.
And, Globe is quoting experts that say Jon Benet’s body should be dug up and are asking why “the parents where cleared of murder?” This is timely since her parents were cleared this past week.
Bottom line: Two strong stories - but the design brings this issue down.
