IS JOHN MCCAIN JEALOUS OF BARACK OBAMA?
Next week, Barack Obama heads of on an international trip that will generate a ton of publicity for the Obama campaign.
Now John McCain is speaking out about Obama’s trip:
“What I’m saying is that how can - how can someone go before the American people and ask to be their commander in chief i f you’ve never been to the place where, his words the major conflict exists. That is remarkable. Absolutely remarkable.”
The Obama Campaign Responds:
“It’s clear that the McCain campaign is getting nervous about being on the wrong side of the Iraq debate. First John McCain wanted Barack Obama to travel with him to Iraq and the campaign used the occasion to raise campaign cash. Now, his campaign is calling Senator Obama’s trip a ‘campaign rally overseas.’ The McCain campaign should stop worrying about Barack Obama’s travel plans and start focusing the pressing challenges that the Bush-McCain foreign policy has made worse.”
Bottom Line: John McCain knows that he’ll be pushed out of the spotlight with Barack’s trip oversees and that’s where these comments are coming from. Barack Obama will enjoy a huge post in the polls when Americans see the reception Barack gets overseas.
Thoughts?
