SNEAK PEEK: SHERYL CROW COVER OF PAGE SIX MAGAZINE
In this week’s Page Six Magazine, breast cancer survivor and new mom Sheryl Crow talks about loving, losing, and battling back.
Make the jump for what she reveals in the interview:
The last few years haven’t been easy for Crow, who ended relationship with fiancé Lance Armstrong in February 2006, and was diagnosed with cancer a month later.
Crow and Armstrong split five months after he proposed, but she has put the past behind her. “I would rather live my life and suffer the pain of losing someone than to never have anybody,” she says. “I have had relationships with great, deep loves, and I have had some that were not functional and some that were more damaging in the end, but you have to accept people the way they are. It doesn’t mean it’s their fault.”
She’s rebounded with grace, adopting son Wyatt, now 14 months old, and rebuilding her love life. Hesitant to talk about her budding relationship with Alabama restaurateur John Cassimus, she will say she met him through country-singer pal Sara Evans. “We’re just seeing each other. John is great,” she says.
In the interview, Crow also talks about her friendship with LA-girlfriends Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox and Laura Dern –and about how she avoids the limelight: “We make dinner and everybody sits around and laughs and catches up. I don’t care about going out and having my picture taken.”
