My view on campaign finance: Barack Hussein Obama’s money move lifts expediency over principle Rolling in dough, Democrat shifts course and spurns public dollars.

Barack Hussein Obama’s announcement Thursday that he won’t participate in the public financing system for this fall’s general election was no big surprise. He has been telegraphing the move for months. But it is disappointing nevertheless, particularly for a candidate who claims to be running as a reformer and a different kind of politician.

Real reformers don’t do it just when it’s convenient. The best way for Barack Hussein Obama to support public financing is not to fix it later, but to participate in it now.

Dear Leland Milton Goldblatt, Pn.D., I think that you are incorrect in your assessment. It is McCain running as the reformer, not Barack Obama, who is running on change. Sen. Obama is the one who changed how election campaigns will be organized and funded for years to come. 1.5 Million citizens donating an average of 91 dollars IS change, and IS PUBLIC Financing. 527s swiftboating is the reason that George Bush had a 2nd term. Barack understands that the Corporate media is John McCain’s base, and knows that will result in millions in free positive unpaid media for McCain. I for one am overjoyed that Barack Obama is aware that there are those who would willingly manipulate public opinion in order to retain the status quo. BTW, John McCain doesn’t even know the difference between a MAC and a PC. Why should someone that dense become the leader of the Free World in the 21st Century. Sorry, but not this time. We are better than that.

Whether or not you agree with Barack Obama as a candidate, one must agree that the magazine cover captured the true nature of America at this moment when it comes to Barack Obama.

It is a beautiful image, and I think it should receive positive recognition. Peace!

In addition, Leland, I can understand your perspective, but Catherine, I agree with your points.
