JOHN MCCAIN DOES NOT FEEL THIS WAY TODAY

The Nation headline “Loving McCain” from the July 7th issue doesn’t apply today – at least according to the McCain campaign.

With Barack Obama’s well publicized oversees trip, the McCain campaign is complaining non-stop that Barack is receiving favorable press treatment.

And now there’s talk that the McCain will announce his VP selection sometime shortly – most likely in an effort to steal the spotlight back.

I personally believe that this was a leak and that no selection is imminent. Simply having the press discuss that McCain may announce his VP running mate accomplished something for McCain – at least in their eyes.

McCain is starting to look petty at this point. The real campaign doesn’t begin until September so McCain needs to chill and let Obama enjoy his trip.
