Barack Obama Does Not Guarantee Newsstand Gold

While Us Weekly’s Barack and Michelle cover sold 1 million issues compared to their usual 800,000,and The New Yorker’s recent controversial Obama cover sold 75,000 copies, up from its average 43,000, People’s newest issue did not fare so well.

The mag’s most recent cover featuring the Obama family sold just 1.3 million copies on the newsstand, lower than its usual 1.4-1.5 million copies.

Could there be a John and Cindy McCain or maybe even a “What are Hillary and Bill up to now?” cover in the near future since there is an opening for the Brangelina of the political world?
