Anderson Cooper Named Silver Fox by The Advocate
The Advocate finds a reason to put Anderson Cooper on its cover and it’s to credit him with starting the silver fox phenomenon.
He’s called the “poster boy for silver foxes.” Cooper was 33 when he first came to national prominence as the host of the reality show The Mole in 2001and is now the 41year-old anchor for CNN.
This silver fox thing is now a trend according to The Advocate.
New York psychotherapist Brian Lathrop has noticed in the last few years that his predominantly gay male clients in their 30s and 40s have shown a greater acceptance of turning gray in a way that’s markedly different from just a decade ago.
“They’re not treating it like a symptom of aging,” Lathrop says. Instead, they’re making it work for them.
Ok - I’ve stopped freaking out. I think.
