Janis Winehouse says that “the hospital visit was simply a matter of human error.”
“The truth is that Amy ended up in hospital this week because she mixed up the medication she’s taking to help her come off drugs,” she told the Daily Mirror newspaper.

The Red Sox finally parted ways with their disgruntled slugger Manny Ramirez, sending him to the Los Angeles Dodgers in a startling, three-team trade Thursday that brought Jason Bay to Boston.
The Pittsburgh Pirates gave up Bay and wound up with four young players. The deal was completed just before the 4 p.m. EDT deadline for making trades without waivers.
Mary-Kate & Ashley Oslen's New Book Set for Release
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are releasing a coffee-table book titled Influence.
“Ashley and Mary-Kate take readers on a journey through their celebrated young lives, pausing to reflect on what has helped shape them into who they are today,” the book’s publisher said in a statement to People. “They interviewed 20 people and wrote brief essays about each other. In each interview, the girls explore what inspired the interviewee.”

Paris Hilton's Chilly Reaction to John McCain Ad
“Miss Hilton was neither asked, nor did she give permission, for the use of her likeness in the ad, and has no further comment,” her rep said in a statement to People.

John Mayer Speaks Out Against Paparazzi
John Mayer, one of the most popular pap targets especially since he started dating Jen Aniston, urged the Los Angeles City Council on Thursday to place restrictions on the paparazzi for the safety of everybody.
“I don’t sit before you today to ask that you ban the paparazzi,” Mayer, 30, testified at a City Hall hearing considering new restrictions on the photographers. “I’m asking you to regulate it, officialize it, tax it, legitimize it.”
