DID YOU HEAR? George and Laura Bush SPLIT!

Do you care?

That’s the big question Globe faces this week.

While we’ve seen that Globe consistently features stories for the senior citizen set, I’m not so sure this one  will fly off newsstands this week.

President Bush’s approval ratings are at an all-time low and I’m not sure many would want to be seen with a cover of George Bush in their shopping cart.  (I admit I’m bias on this one and can’t stand Bush.  There, I said it.)

Continuing to appeal to senior citizens, and possibly introduce Elvis to new fans, is a promising photo spread of the King when he was only 21.

In other news, is there now a Golden Girl curse?  Bea Arthur is not doing well according to Globe.  That’s sad.

Finally, Oprah gets a kiss on the bottom right – not the type she would like.  It’s the continuing saga of that sex school scandal.

Bottom Line: I like Globe much better when it focuses on getting the newsy picture of the week for its main cover image.
