New York Magazine Tackles the Elephant in this Year’s Political Campaign: RACE

We have the least popular President in history.

The economy is heading south, if not there already.

And, we’re in a war we shouldn’t be in.

So, why isn’t the Democratic candidate Barack Obama clobbering the Republican candidate John McCain in the polls?

You would think that Americans would want to change over to the Democratics and give them a chance in the White House.

Well, not so fast.

This week New York Magazine features Barack Obama on its cover and starts the “impossible conversation” about race.

I think the timing for this cover works and hopefully the media will pick-up on this discussion in a much more passionate way before it’s too late.

It would be a disaster if we had this important discussion after the election and McCain won because of this issue.

So, let’s have it NOW!

And New York Magazine is the first to tackle it in a big way.
