BUISINESS BREAKUP: Tom Cruise Splits with Long Time Partner
Tom’s United Artists partner Paula Wagner, who has been with him since November 2006, is leaving to pursue her own projects.
It doesn’t sound like the riff was on a bad note though. She will conitnue to co-own the studio and “be attached to UA’s most exciting film properties.”
What exactly “exciting” means though, is pretty vague. The studio’s Lions for Lambs lost around $30 million and the release date for the Nazi flick Valkyrie has been continuously pushed back.
The news of her departure comes at a time when Tom is said to be looking towards comedic roles, so this may have something to do with it.
