Michael Phelps Wins 8th Gold Medal

It was an incredible, historical moment for Michael Phelps and the USA Swimming team.

Phelps and his teammates won the gold in the 4×100-meter medley relay. This marked Phelps’ 8th Gold Medal and helped him surpass Mark Spitz as the number one Olympic Gold medalist for any single Olympic Games.

After the race, Michael Phelps told his teammates, “I couldn’t do it without you guys.”

He added in a post-interview, “It was a great experience for me and something I’ll have for ever.”

Phelps all-time total medal count is 16 medals with 14 of them gold!
