Russia Signs Cease-Fire With Georgia

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has signed a French-brokered cease-fire agreement intended to end the week-long hostilities with its U.S.-backed neighbor Georgia, according to MSNBC.

Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili signed the agreement the day before during a visit by U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice to the Georgian capital, Tbilisi.
