RACHEL MADDOW TO HOST ON MSNBC

On Tuesday, Rachel Maddow was tapped to host a new show at 9 p.m. replacing Dan Abrams.

“This is great; getting a regular cable show is something I’ve wanted,” said Maddow.

Although she admits that she will have to cover the election most of the time when she first starts, she is looking forward to reshaping the show as more of a general news program.
