Senior citizens in Florida are rejoicing this week.

They get to see the first photo of Doris Day “in a decade.”

Globe does what it does best and caters to this demo by delivering covers like this one.

Plus, it’s a newsy photo, which is the mag’s strength.

My only suggestion…

would be to include some of the details on “her strange new life” on the cover.

It would make it a stronger sell.

Bottom line: Tough competition this week - especially from the National Enquirer - will make this a lackluster sale.
