Duncan Donuts High Tech Ad Campaign: Customization & Facial Recognition

Care for a personalized ad in your face with your morning cup of joe and jelly donut? Dunkin Donuts is putting ad screens at its checkout and pickup areas.
Select locations will also have video screens on the shelves that will play specific ads depending on what item you have picked up.
In the future, they may also be able to read your face, reports the WSJ. Yes, really.
The company working on Dunkin’s screens, YCD Multimedia, is working on facial-recognition technologies that will be able to read a persons age and sex, classifying them into a certain demographic and playing an ad based on that.
Creepy or cool?
