Britney Spears Not Performing at MTV's Video Music Awards

After last year’s disastrous performance, many were hoping Britney Spears would make her comeback at this year’s event.

But, right now it doesn’t look that way.

“Britney Spears will not be performing at the VMAs this year. I’m telling you officially and unequivocally,” Ryan Seacrest quoted her manager, Larry Rudolph, as saying on his KIIS-FM radio show Monday morning, reports Us.

Despite this “official” statement, I wouldn’t be shocked if Britney surprised us all and did perform.
