Shannen Doherty’s Side of the Story

Us Weekly features the girl everybody loves to hate Shannen Doherty.
This is one of those risky covers that I’d expect Us Weekly to pull together. Every so often the magazine comes out with a b or c-lister, but delivers a somewhat compelling cover that sells quite well.
For the celebrity weeklies, it’s important to note that it’s hard to deliver an emotional story about a TV show - especially one like the new 90210 that has not hit the airwaves yet.
In this week’s Us Weekly:
- We’ll discover why she left 90210 in the first place. (It has to something to do with her character hitting a “plateau” and her father’s health issues.)
- You’ll also hear Shannen Doherty defend herself against the “Tori Spelling lies.” (She simply explains that they’ve grown in different directions.)
- And that brawl with Jennie Garth? (Never happened.)
Bottom line: Us Weekly hits the three major “issues” that the reader wants to know about 90210 and that will equal a pleasant sale on the newsstand.
