MICHAEL STRAHAN: The Giants Won’t be Able to Fill My Void
In this week’s Page Six Magazine, Super Bowl champ Michael Strahan discusses life on and off the gridiron, his decision not to return to the game, and how his teammates will never be able to replace him.
He also disses his former team mates. “Oh, man, puhleeeze, [Giants middle linebacker] Antonio Pierce said publicly my leadership was overrated. I’m going to say what’s true. I don’t think they’ll be able to fill my void. From a leadership standpoint that’s going to be the hardest part to replace.”
Strahan also weighs in people comparing him to Tiki Barber. “We’re totally different personalities. I don’t want to limit myself to just being a football guy. I would love to be an actor or a host of a talk show. I mean, I see Conan taking Jay Leno’s place and Jimmy Fallon taking Conan’s place. And I say, Why not me?’
