Caroline Kennedy who was an early backer of Barack Obama, could be following in the footsteps of her grandfather, Joseph Kennedy, as US ambassador to London’s Court of St. James’.

Should Obama win, members of his national finance committee tell Santa Barbara News-Press gossip Richard Mineards the job is hers if she wants it, reports Page Six. The London ambassador’s official residence, Winfield House in Regents Park, the former home of Woolworth heiress Barbara Hutton, is set in 12 acres of gardens, second only to Buckingham Palace in size, reports Page Six.
