UPDATE: Was Sarah Palin Really a Member of the Alaska Independent Party?

The John McCain camp has disputed claims that VP hopeful Sarah Palin at one time belonged to the Alaska Independent Party. The Republican camp also accused the Democrats of spreading misinformation.

“The only person talking about her being in the Alaska Independence Party is the head of the Alaska Independence Party,” said an Obama spokesman.

The verdict is still out on this one.  But, stay tuned!
