Brett Favre on winning his first game as a NY Jet:

“I’m just trying to conserve energy,” the 38-year-old Favre told them, and the explanation seemed sufficient, especially once he began to race around the field, leading New York to a 20–14 victory.

“It wasn’t like, ‘I’m supposed to be there,’” Favre said. “I’m a Jet. I had a great career in Green Bay, but the only thing that matters is what happens now. We’re 1–0.”
