Sarah Palin Refuses To Release Secret Family E-mails

Andree McLeod, a self-described “Republican watchdog”, made an appeal last week for Sarah Palin to disclose e-mails between her administration and her husband, Todd.

The emails would show how Palin runs the state and show what role her husband, Todd, played in his wife’s administration.

There are 40 e-mails between Todd, a private citizen, and Palin’s administration that have not yet been disclosed and could provide information on his involvement in the firing of former Public Safety Commissioner Walt Monegan.

The governor’s office has denied access, citing  Palin’s right to a “deliberative process privilege,” a law designed to let public officials receive candid advice from their staff and consultants regarding matters of the state without fear of that advice going public.
