While Michelle Obama has been ostracized and Hillary Clinton was run out of town by the press, good old Cindy McCain somehow avoided stories like this one.

But, thanks to the Globe we get a juicy cover facing her alleged drug addiction.

As I recall, Cindy allegedly got hooked a few years ago on painkillers after surgery.

But, now it looks like she hasn’t kicked the habit.

Will this cover sell?

From what I heard, People’s “Meet the McCains” cover didn’t do as well as it does on a normal week. That was a happy, happy, joy, joy story.

But Globe goes for the juggernaut with this cover.

Not only are they focused on the drug habit. But they close the deal with Cindy’s heartbreak over her loveless marriage.

The picture choice is brilliant. Look at the Cindy McCain one in particular. Her face tells the entire story.

Bottom Line: McCain continues to sink in the polls and this cover will rise on the newsstand.
