I have a few questions.
How did Kim Kardashian get so famous? I still don’t get it.
And why would OK select this as its main cover over DJ AM and Travis Barker’s plane tragedy.
When you look at the rest of the celebrity weekly set (with the exception of Life & Style which covered the crash) each magazine had a compelling cover.
Except for OK!
Why doesn’t this cover work besides what I’ve already said?
Women don’t like to exercise. I’ve sat in hundreds of focus groups and it’s the last thing they want to think about doing.
Yes, they want to be in shape. Who doesn’t? But, they don’t want to read about it in a celebrity weekly.
These celebrity weeklies are supposed to be their escape from reality. Does the reader want to see Kim Kardashian getting ready to do yoga (that’s what she’s doing - right?)
And the magazine asks the question “how does she stay thin and keep her sexy curves?”
The answer to that question is pretty simple: an expensive trainer and dietitian.
Bottom Line: Very tough week for OK Magazine.
