Life & Style has a few good things going for it this week with its BABY BOOM cover.
First, women love tor read stories about other women having babies. I know that’s obvious.
Plus, Mariah Carey has an incredible group of fans that will buy anything she’s featured on.
On the not so good side of this cover…
I’m not really sure if Mariah is pregnant or getting pregnant? That confusion will lead to difficulty for the magazine on the newsstand and this confusion starts with the dek which is murky at best.
“After a hot summer of love, Mariah’s baby dreams are finally coming true.”
What does that mean? I really have no idea.
Plus, Mariah got married! By simply throwing in that fact, it would have made the intro dek much stronger.
Bottom Line: Murky lines lead to murky sales.
