OK! Magazine managed to once again secure an exclusive with one of the Spears’ sisters - this time Jamie Lynn.
This cover focuses on debunking the allegations that Jamie Lynn’s baby daddy Casey had cheated on her while she was pregnant.
So what we have today in front of us is a cover picture of Jamie Lynne standing stiffly next to a even more uncomfortable Casey Aldridge. Look, he’s even grinding his teeth.
The main line screams, “I’m No Cheater.”
And you know what I think?
Yes you are Casey. That’s of course just my opinion based on how you look in this photo.
I also believe you were paid a bunch of cashola to make that statement and pose for this picture. Call it a hunch.
For OK! Magazine, the bigger question is will this exclusive sell on the newsstand.
And, the answer is NOT REALLY.
Why?
The line “I’m No Cheater” gives away the entire NON-story on the cover. (If he admitted to cheating, now there’s a story!)
I’m also not convinced the average reader was so shocked by the earlier allegations that Casey cheated on Jamie Lynn.
Bottom Line: Debunking a story that nobody really cared about in the first place will lead to a soft week on the newsstand for OK Magazine.
