CoverAwards' Exclusive: How People Got Lied to by Liz Rosenberg

People Magazine is often one of the first places a star’s publicists will give “on the record” story – especially when their clients are facing tough media scrutiny.

And, a few months ago when there were rumblings about the state of Madonna’s marriage, Liz Rosenberg, Madge’s publicist, did just that.

She issued this “exclusive” statement exclusively to People.

In it Madonna said, “My husband and I are not planning on getting a divorce. I know Alex Rodriguez through Guy Oseary, who manages both of us. I brought my kids to a Yankee game. I am not romantically involved in any way with Alex Rodriguez. I have nothing to do with the state of his marriage or what spiritual path he may choose to study.”

An industry insider tells CoverAwards exclusively, “that People is really furious with her [Liz Rosenberg] for being her [Madonna's] mouthpiece on the denials, and then not giving them the [split] story for the cover this week.”

Topping it off, Rosenberg gave the official break-up statement to the Associated Press.

Well, as the New York Post reported earlier today, Liz is caught in another big fat lie!
