Dan – Are you feeling pretty good this morning?  Well, you should be.

Life & Style stands out this week with the ONLY Angelina Jolie cover.  The mag jumped on the incredible quote made by Angelina Jolie that she and Brad fell in love while on set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith.  A very smart move.

The picture of Angelina looking mischievous adds to a very strong cover presentation.

My only criticism is on the dek – which seems to be lacking strong details.  But – in the end it doesn’t matter cause the photo and main line will help L&S return to strong sales on the newsstand.

Let’s take a look at the sidebar which is jam packed with compelling and simple stories.  Each one gets right to the point.

Madonna and A-Rod’s secret vacation.  I want to know where they went, what did they do, etc.  I’m totally intrigued.

With Nick leaving jail, the Hogan inset is very timely.

And I love the Tina Fey snubbing Sarah Palin inset.  It’s the part of the story that everybody is talking about. Again, a shrewd move to include this inset with two weeks to go to the election.

Finally, I love, love, love the Britney Spears inset (photo from new Womanizer video), which says “how to look better naked in 5 days.” It made me smile and that’s what these magazines are supposed to do.

Bottom Line: Life & Style is on the comeback trail.
